Hello and welcome to Nagareboshi, an mp3 rotation. Here, Kyuu rotates selections from her mp3 collection about every three to four weeks, featuring anime, j-pop, j-rock, orchestral, and all sorts of different music. Every rotation encompasses a total of five or six songs from across the spectrum, so there's plenty to choose from!

First rotation of the new year! *laughs* I guess my New Year's Resolution is to actually follow a rotation schedule and stick by it. I'm surprised you guys don't hate me yet. ~~Or maybe you do.~~

This rotation has a more cheerful and upbeat demeanor. I'm feeling more happy as of late, and it's probably showing in my music taste. Also, I think I'm starting to rotate less anime. Mreh. There are comments this time because Mel would probably lynch me if there weren't. And I had to rotate or else Ryk would kill me too. *coughs* I left the mood music up, since it's on SaveFile and I really don't care.

I'm trying something else as well. The "samples" lead to Radio.Blog.Club in which you can listen to the song and deem if it's worthy of downloading or not. ^~ It's good, I promise, but you might not believe me.

Also, I took off the contact form. I'm sorry, but the spam from that it's starting to drive me crazy. *spazzes* I'm going to kill it if it stays up any longer. Anyway, enjoy the rotation! I have SATs tomorrow, so link exchange thingie coming...eventually.

Comments: I've listened to this song so many times, yet I can't quite pinpoint what I love so much about it. You're probably going to yell at me and scream that it's just another pop song. Which it is. But the way that Howie Day sings just enraptures the song in a certain warmth, and how it comes together--the lyrics, his voice, the music... There's no way to really describe this song than "it feels right."

Comments: Oh, German, how I can't speak you to save my life. It's just part of what makes this song really cool though. The German and English are so well-balanced, and the lyrics are so beautiful. I'm not really a big fan of techno, but for this song, it works so well. It's all sorts of swirly and colorful and makes me go, "Woo~" (That was a very unintelligible comment, yes, I know.) This should be a DDR song.

Comments: This is possibly one of the most beautiful love songs I've ever listened to. There's always something so beautifully devoted about it that makes me want to cry when I hear it. The sound behind it is such a beautiful and rich blend, and the combination of lyrics and passionate vocals always moves somethieng within me. It's like... this is what love Is. This is why we love.

Comments: Tiffy's recently introduced me to Yiruma's music, and I've absolutely fallen in love with it. He has a very individualized sense of style with the music he creates and it's always so beautiful and soft. This song is almost melancholy in a certain way, and very atmospheric. Yiruma's playing is most definitely some of the most beautifully composed music for piano since the Romantic era.

Comments: If there's one thing that saves Tsubasa Chronicle from being a failure of an anime in my eyes, it's definitely the fact that Yuki Kajiura is the composer of its music. This song is soft and a little sorrowful, filled with the nostalgia that Sakura feels from her lack of memory. I'm ambivilent about the vocals, just a bit. Such a fragile-sounding song.

Artist: Kotoko

Comments: There was one review I read for Kannazuki no Miko in which the reviewer commented that Kotoko's music all sounds the same. This amuses me, though I can't agree or disagree since I don't listen to her much. This is a very interesting listen though, and even with its upbeat techno tempo and almost falsly cheerful sound, you can still pick up the traces of longing and anguish that marks its name.
